Debate Boot Camp: Preparing for Public Appearances

Are you effectively sharing your leadership story out on the campaign trail? Struggling with how to message your values and policy priorities? Ready for all those random questions that pop up during candidate debates, forums, and town halls?

Debate Boot Camp includes:

  • Message shaping for successful voter engagment

  • Enhancing your ability to speak persuasively, with passion and purpose

  • Expanding your capacity to defend policy positions and respond to “outta left field” questions

Debate Boot Camp is open to candidates of all parties who are currently running, planning to run, or have a public speaking role in a candidate or ballot measure campaign. This day-long training is intensive and highly interactive. Participation is first-registered, first-accepted, and registrations will be screened to avoid opposing candidate conflicts.

Participants are required to prepare a 3-minute stump speech prior to the training. Space is limited to 15 participants and registration is required by Friday, August 23, but will close once seats are filled. Location and further details will be shared upon registration.
