Debate Boot Camp: Preparing for Confident Public Appearances

  • Lansing, MI United States (map)

Are you effectively sharing your leadership story out on the campaign trail? Struggling with how to message your values and policy priorities? Ready for all those crazy questions that pop up during candidate debates, forums and town halls?

Debate Boot Camp will:

  • Prepare you for public appearances.

  • Help shape your messaging for successful voter engagement.

  • Enhance your ability to speak persuasively, with passion and purpose.

  • Expand your capacity to defend policy positions and to spontaneously respond to “outta left field” questions.

Debate Boot Camp is open to candidates of all parties who are currently running, planning to run, or have a public speaking role in a candidate or ballot measure campaign. It is an intensive, highly interactive, day-long training, presented by Shannon Garrett and Dawn Crandall. Participation is first-registered, first-accepted, and registrations will be screened to avoid opposing candidate conflicts.

Participants are required to prepare a 3-minute stump speech prior to the training. Space for each training is limited to 6 minimum and 16 maximum participants. Registration is required by Sunday, September 2, 2018, but will close once seats are filled.

Please be sure to register and check out on our website, start by adding the event to your cart below. After your registration is reviewed by our team you will receive an email with address details and logistics. Please contact us if you have any questions.
