TAMEKA M. RAMSEY
Tameka is a native of Pontiac, Michigan. She received her Associates Degree in Mental Health/Social Work from Oakland Community College; then went on to Wayne State University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
Tameka then spent the next ten years as a Social Worker serving predominately urban communities. Although the demographics and stories were vastly different, the one thing that was constant, was the fact that there were policies in place that created barriers for each of them. Because of this, Tameka enrolled at Oakland University where she received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
Tameka is now using her education and experience to educate, advocate and empower individuals across the country on economic, racial and social justice.
Tameka is married to Michael (an auto worker for GM); and mother to three beautiful children.
